Where can I find the courses offered for Summer Session?

As a Visiting Student (non-TCNJ), you can find a catalog of all the available Summer Session courses on our Courses page. For the most up-to-date course information, please refer to the PAWS Course Catalog. As a current matriculated TCNJ student, you can search for more available courses through your PAWS account.

When will the courses for Summer Session be posted on the Website?

TCNJ Students can view summer classes and begin enrolling during their November enrollment period. Visiting Student courses are typically posted on our website in mid-February.

How many courses can I take over the summer?

Undergraduate students may take a maximum of four course units during the summer term, with no more than two units in a single session. Students may only take one course unit during the Summer 1 session.

Graduate students are allowed a maximum of three courses (9 credits) in the summer.

I’m a visiting student. Will my college or university accept TCNJ credits?

Contact your home institution for information on transferring TCNJ credits.

I’m a visiting student. How do I access my PAWS account?

Once you are registered as a Visiting Student, you will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail containing your PAWS ID and further instructions on accessing your account.

Once I register for a course, can it be cancelled?

Yes, summer courses can be cancelled due to low enrollment or at the college’s discretion. Students will be notified via their TCNJ email.

I am an incoming first-year/transfer student accepted to start in the fall semester, BUT I am very interested to start this summer. What do I do?

Contact recreg@tcnj.edu for assistance.

Payment & Billing

How do I pay for my summer courses?

All students will be electronically billed by The Office of Student Accounts. A billing notification will be sent to the student’s TCNJ email with instructions and due dates. For specific questions regarding your bill, contact stuaccts@tcnj.edu.

Can I pay for Summer Courses with my Financial Aid? Can I pay for a course with my personal education savings plan?

TCNJ students may contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Green Hall 101 at 609-771-2211 or osfa@tcnj.edu for more information.

If I withdraw from a course, do I still have to pay for that course?

Students who drop a class prior to the drop deadline will receive a refund. Drop deadlines and other important dates are available here.

Students who withdraw from a course after the drop deadline are not eligible for a refund and will receive a W grade (and no course credit). The last day to withdraw from a course, and other deadlines, can be found here.

If I don’t attend a course that I registered for, do I still have to pay for that course?

If you are a visiting student enrolled in a course and can no longer attend, please email recreg@tcnj.edu as soon as possible.

Non-Attendance in a course does not mean you have officially “dropped” the course. You are financially responsible for all courses in which you are registered. It is the student’s responsibility to drop the course during the Add/Drop Dates or to contact recreg@tcnj.edu for assistance.
