Below is a list of special circumstances in which a student can be approved for a late withdrawal from a summer course:
- Significant and persistent documentable health and wellness related conditions that directly impact a student’s ability to attend and/or complete course work (if accommodations can mitigate the situation, students should work with the Accessibility Resource Center)
- Loss of a parent and/or caregiver
- Significant and unforeseeable circumstances
- Hospitalization for mental health-related concerns
- Participation in a Partial or Intensive Outpatient Program
The following circumstances do not fall under approval for a late withdrawal from a course:
- Health and wellness concerns that can be resolved through accommodations offered with the Accessibility Resource Center
- Credit card or other personal debt problems.
- Failure to abide by withdrawal deadlines.
- Short-term health and wellness-related concerns can be supported through The College’s withdrawal deadline.

The Records and Registration’s Add/Drop Deadline Policy is as follows:
- After the Drop/Add period there are no refunds, meaning neither partial nor full refunds. It is the student’s responsibility to register for and appropriately withdraw from courses.
- Non-attendance does not constitute a drop or withdrawal. Students are financially responsible for courses not dropped during the drop/add window.
